Landscapes-farming Sceneries of mounts, valleys and lakes :The landscape formed by the different streams and brooks is characterized by an important agricultural activity. The Agout Valley from La Salvetat sur Agout to the Col de Fonfroide In the west, the valley is narrow, stretches in the east and is characterized by the tree-lined Agout bank. This part presents a wooded meadow landscape where the separations between the different fields are made of dry-stone walls. The Vèbre Valley from La Salvetat sur Agout to north east part of the village The valley is wide and clear; if we go down into the valley we can see on the gently slopes some agricultural parts. The south of the valley is characterized by the presence of various hamlets. The Agout Valley from Cambon to SalverguesThe valley extends nearly to Cambon and in the east nearly to the Plateau de Salvergues. The valley from Rieupeyroux to Lamontélarié With a southerly and a northerly aspect, the valley is wide near Lamontélarié but is rather narrow at its ends. The landscape is also characterized by its three dammed lakes (Les Saint Peyres, La Raviège and Vésoles). |
